DELUJHARI is the prominent centre of Saivism, a very lively place of spiritual attainment. People of local and far off places visit Deuljhari as one of the important shrines of Lord Siva. They also get scope of praying gods and goddess like Kedareswar Baba, Enkari Mata, Maa Maheswari, Sri Maheswar Baba, Sri Jogeswar Baba and Maa Khambeswari.
The shrine is surrounded by dense indigenous screw pine (Kia) groves with a radius of 24 acres of land that not only attracts the saivites and the sakta devotees but also attract the nature lovers. In the south of the shrine flows the sacred river Chitrotpala and in the north stands the towering hills of Panchadhara.
The uniqueness of the place lies in its hot springs that surround the temple. As per the legend there are eighty four such springs. But many of them have been overshadowed in the screw pine forest. Now twenty-four springs are alive. Among these the springs bearing the name like Agnikunda, Taptakunda, Himakunda, Amrutakunda and Labakusakunda are prominent. The temperature of water in these springs varies from 40 to 62 degree Celsius. The big one lies near the Khambeswari temple that used for bathing purpose in winter season. It is believed that skin disease become cure in bathing in the hot water.
The natural sight seen like Panchadhara hills and forests in the north and river Mahanadi in the south attracts the visitors thorough out the year. The temples like Maa Binikei, Maa Maheswari, Lord Jagannath, Baba Biswanath and Belapunji Matha are surrounded by Deuljhari within the radius of 40 kilo metres on the bank of the river Mahanadi. Sureswari natural water fall and Satakosia Gorge (in river Mahanadi at Tikarapara) are also the closest places to visit.

Festivals and Rituals at Deuljhari :
Fasts and festivals throughout the year keep the shrine and its surroundings lively. The appearance of many saints, sadhus and preceptors at many times fills the atmosphere with divine reverence. In each Amabasya (new moon) and Sankranti (1st day of the Hindu month) people from far off places gather there to offer their obeisance. Apart from this a large number of people gather in the shrine during the months of Baisakha (summer season), Kartika (dewy season) and Magha (winter season). The important fasts and festivals are Mahabishuva-sankranti (14 April), Sitalasasthi (June), Kartika Purnima (November), Makar Shankranti (14 January) and Sivaratri (February).
